WHEAT INITIATIVE – EWG Early Career Researcher Programme

Are you a postgraduate student or researcher working with wheat and with less than 5 years’ experience? If yes, this might be of interest for you:

The Wheat Initiative encourages the participation of wheat early career scientists into our network of Expert Working Groups (EWGs) as affiliates. This programme emphasizes the role of networking in building research careers by supporting the engagement of future wheat research leaders in EWGs activities.

By participating in the programme, you gain access to a vast research network and you will help shape the priorities of the wheat initiative EWGs to ensure food security. Early Career Research (ECR) members will have the opportunity to apply for support to attend Wheat Initiative and EWG workshops and meetings.

Members participating in this programme will be asked to contribute to the development of creative, effective research and education plans to support the goals of the EWG and the Wheat Initiative. Through your involvement, you will communicate your experience and needs to the Chairs and Co-Chairs of the EWGs, so that they can tune the activities of the EWG to support the next generation of wheat scientists.

ECR members will be registered for one year, with the opportunity to extend their registration.
